The main objective of commercial marketing is to establish a relation between the product and consumer. Majority of business organizations associate a brand with the product in order to achieve this through various marketing methods. In the case of retail marketing, the targets are limited to marketing products only.
The vast majority of marketing activities on the market is Commercial Marketing. This is because most of the organizations are profit-oriented businesses. However, in addition to Commercial Marketing, many non-profit social organizations nowadays are using Social Marketing to approach their target audience.
Examples include, but are not limited to, merchandise, books for sale (including textbooks), apps that will be sold or have advertising, periodicals and journals with paid subscriptions, TV programs and commercial films, advertisements, websites that sell images, and cause-related marketing.
